50 Pullups  I modified with green band.  First 25 were good.  Getting better at my kipping.  Chest getting above bar.  Last 5 were sloppy.

400M Run

21 Thrusters 65/95 (15lbs) I am having such a hard time with my squats/trusters.  I really wanted to work this one light because I want to get my form right but I just have such a hard time.  Whenever I get corrected I do not feel any difference so I do not know how to keep it correct besides having some one stand over me and say so.

800M Run

21 Thrusters 65/95 (15lbs)

400M Run  I was lagging last 100M thankfully I had a great motivator and pace setter so it made it 100% easier to finish this up.

Things lately have been all over the place and I have just been ignoring my blog.  My business has picked up a little and my wedding is almost a month away so I feel like that is what has been occupying my time.   There has been a lot going on.  I am going to start off on the work out side of things.    I pick up this amazing book called the New Rules of Weight Lifting for Women.

I saw it on Megann’s amazing blog Meals and Miles, which I highly recommend readying.  She is a great blogger and always has interesting, inspirational and funny things to talk about.  So she picked this up because she is training for an Ironman because she is badass.  While I am not training for anything like that I have been looking to, I was going to say tone Lou Schuler the narrator of this book would not agree, so lets go with make my arms look good for my strapless wedding dress, which I am picking up in CT in a few weeks and flying back with me.  So anyway, I got the book from the library so I could see if I like it and very quickly I really started to enjoy it.  Stage 1 takes 6 weeks if you do it 3 times a week and I was banging it out and upping my weight and feeling great.  I finished stage 1 and was starting stage 2.  My loving fiance decided he wanted to join in, we are ignoring the title of the book now.  Last Wednesday we got up at 6:30am and went to the gym to start Stage 2.  We did one move and then we moved on to the step up, which was part of stage 1.  A step up is basically exactly what it sounds like.  You hold some weights and you step up on to something higher and step down.  As we were doing them I called out “last one” and as I placed  my right foot on the ground I heard a crunch and fell over.  Vin immediately threw down his weights and I fell into tears not as much from the pain but just the fear of what this could be, broken ankle, crutches at the wedding, little to no working out.  We decided that the best thing was for him to get the car and then we could decide if I would need to go to see of professional from there.  In the end we decided that I would just not move from the couch, and according to Vin no going to the bathroom, for one whole day and see how I feel from there.  Thankfully after taking 2 days really easy I am back to normal with a little pain in my foot.

Unfortunately,  because of this I did not have a very healthy week.  I am looking to re commit myself to focusing on the greater goal and not so much immediate gratification, such as beer, friend chicken and donuts, so it goes.  I walked and slowly jogged 2.5 miles this morning and will be doing a relaxing flow class today.

i was super lucky to get to head home, Connecticut, for an extended weekend sort of thing, and spend some quality time with my mom and dog, zoe.  i made this trip mainly for a wedding dress fitting but it happened to coincide with my dad’s annual golf trip, to yes florida though tampa so i do not feel to bad, but it was good i got some good mother and daughter time.  on sunday we took a nice walk around this park in town.

my mom

zoe girl. my puppy who is not so much a puppy anymore at the amazing age of 13!

my family has a country house on a lake and zoe will spend hours “fishing”.  what the means is she walks back in forth in this shallow area and stare at the water and occasionally plunge her head in the water like she is going to catch something.  Note in the years we have gone to the house she has never caught anything, to our knowledge, but she will do this all day.  So when she saw this water she did not waste any time to get her paws wet.  can you see how happy she is?  can’t wait to see her at the lake.

Vin and I did another 90 second run 30 second walk for 25min this morning.  He seemed to be doing better did not pretend to puke this time.  Its been good for me because he runs at a 9:30-10:00 min pace and that is where I want to be.  We are only going to run together every other day so on those days I will do my speed, tempo and longer run workouts.

Breakfast this morning was sandwich thins, peanut butter, flax seed, raisins with a side of strawberries and to drink pipping hot coffee and water.after breakfast i did some cleaning with these new sponge replacement type of thing called

Spaghetti Scrub from this company called Goodybe Detergent.  I got mine from crate and barrel online along with this mini back wear site for $4 dollars so i can make mini yummy things like chocolate peanut butter cups.  I was super nervous to try these scrubbers for some reason and i have to say they kick ass.  Not only do you not need soap but they are so great for getting into weird places, like lids and whisks.  I am so excited to use them! They are suppose to last for months and not smell.  The one i got is made out of peach pit.  Pretty cool.
